Jeremy has a morning play school routine that we have to complete or he'd cry when I leave him.
When he get off the car, he would go to the gate and wait for me to carry him to the front door of the play school. Before putting him down, I would take off his shoes and put them on the shoe shelf. Then I would put him down at the front door and give his bag to the helper. I would give him hugs and kisses and encourage him to go sit at the sofa.
A couple of weeks back, he added one more step. He would carry his bag to the changing room himself. He expected me to wait at the front door for him to come back and give him hugs and kisses. He also wanted me to wipe his tears, even though there were no tears.
Just this past Monday, he added one more step. He would kiss me on both my cheeks, my mouth and my forehead. I, in turn, would give him the usual hugs as well as kiss him on the cheeks and his forehead.
Today, he added another step. After kissing my cheeks, mouth and forehead, he kissed both my hands. So sweet of him. And he wanted me to kiss both his hands, too. So endearing.
