Wee wee himself

While we, the girls, were inside the house watching a movie, I let Jeremy play outside with his scooter and bicycle. Of course, I would check on him quite often. Once, Aunt Brenda was watching him from the front door. He was at the back of the house with his scooter. Aunt Brenda called us to the door to look at Jeremy. When I got there, I could only see Jeremy's pants. I asked Aunt Brenda what happened. She said she think Jeremy took a pee himself. She saw him taking off his pants. I went to the back to check it out. True enough, when I got there, he was already pulling up his pants. And there was a puddle on the ground. He said 'jeyi wee wee'. My heart wanted to burst. I was so proud of him. Of course, he peed outside instead of in the toilet. But what he did was a big accomplishment for a 2½-year-old boy!

Later on, he was playing outside himself... again... while I was preparing lunch in the kitchen. He called me from the front door and showed me Aunt Tracy's ¾-pants which he took from the clothesline. I told him he's a good boy and didn't think he would do more than that. When I checked on him a few minute later, there he was under the clothesline with the laundry basket with a few of the clothes in the basket. I wasn't even angry at him. I know he was trying to help and I was very proud of him.

Nowadays, I let him play outside whenever he wants to. I know he misses playing outside since he's confined to the indoor at the daycare centre. I also think he learns quite a bit of problem solving by playing outside. For example, when his scooter get stuck he learned how to unstuck it.

After 12 noon, he came in and played with his car in the living room while lying down on the floor. I tried giving him lunch but he only ate one spoon. He wasn't hungry as he's been munching something the whole time. He asked for nenen instead. I gave him nenen and he fell asleep on my lap. I put him down on the mattress in the library and by 12:30 PM he was fast asleep. He must have been tired from all the playing he did outside.
