Flu shot
I brought Jeremy to see Dr Terry this evening for his general checkup as he was still coughing. But his coughing is better now and drier, too. No more phlegm. So, that's good news. Dr Terry thought he has recovered enough that she gave him his first flu shot. His next jab would be on 11th December. He just watched when Dr Terry swabbed his thigh with alcohol. Then he wailed when he was injected. He was in pain for a while that he refused to even stand. Once Dr Terry said bye bye, he stopped crying and even laughed a bit. Funny boy.
Talking to Nana on webcam
We talked to Nana on the webcam yesterday. And it Jeremy had fun. He kept on playing with the webcam after that. When he couldn't see his face on the screen, he mengamuk. And then he started playing with the webcam setting. Dunno what he did, now the image captured by the webcam is a bit greenish. The boy is too smart. I'll have to reconfigure the setting again.
Jeremy cried at the play school again this morning. He hugged me and didn't want to let me go. But I gently urged him to go in and sit next to the sofa. He did go in but still crying and sniffling. I should stop telling him he's going to school. Don't want him to hate school when he's older because of his experience now. I think I should tell him he's going to Aunt Adel house or going to the nursery.

Wee wee himself
While we, the girls, were inside the house watching a movie, I let Jeremy play outside with his scooter and bicycle. Of course, I would check on him quite often. Once, Aunt Brenda was watching him from the front door. He was at the back of the house with his scooter. Aunt Brenda called us to the door to look at Jeremy. When I got there, I could only see Jeremy's pants. I asked Aunt Brenda what happened. She said she think Jeremy took a pee himself. She saw him taking off his pants. I went to the back to check it out. True enough, when I got there, he was already pulling up his pants. And there was a puddle on the ground. He said 'jeyi wee wee'. My heart wanted to burst. I was so proud of him. Of course, he peed outside instead of in the toilet. But what he did was a big accomplishment for a 2½-year-old boy!
Later on, he was playing outside himself... again... while I was preparing lunch in the kitchen. He called me from the front door and showed me Aunt Tracy's ¾-pants which he took from the clothesline. I told him he's a good boy and didn't think he would do more than that. When I checked on him a few minute later, there he was under the clothesline with the laundry basket with a few of the clothes in the basket. I wasn't even angry at him. I know he was trying to help and I was very proud of him.
Nowadays, I let him play outside whenever he wants to. I know he misses playing outside since he's confined to the indoor at the daycare centre. I also think he learns quite a bit of problem solving by playing outside. For example, when his scooter get stuck he learned how to unstuck it.
After 12 noon, he came in and played with his car in the living room while lying down on the floor. I tried giving him lunch but he only ate one spoon. He wasn't hungry as he's been munching something the whole time. He asked for nenen instead. I gave him nenen and he fell asleep on my lap. I put him down on the mattress in the library and by 12:30 PM he was fast asleep. He must have been tired from all the playing he did outside.

Chockets
Jeremy likes chocolate now. He says 'chocket'. He also eats ice cream. He's a late bloomer. Only now he knows how to enjoy all the sweet stuff. He doesn't eat much though. I bought a pack of Bounty when we were in Labuan. At home, whenever he sees me eat one, he would want one too. But he would only eat half of it before moving on to something else. Whatever we eat, he also wants to eat now.
Nenek, Uncle Andy and LL were here today, since yesterday evening. I've forgotten if I've told you they were coming. Jeremy and LL had fun playing, though at times they make each other upset. Jeremy were sad to see them go back this afternoon. He wanted to follow them back to kampung.
This morning Jeremy woke up very early. At 5am, he heard the garbage truck collecting the garbage. He said 'see gig kuck'. So, I brought him to the window. When he saw Nenek, who was also awake at that time, he said 'nenek'. And then he never went back to sleep. He even ended up waking LL up. Usually, when it's only me and Jeremy in the room, he would go back to sleep once the garbage truck is gone.
We went to Kompleks Karamunsing after dinner just now. Since I've been wanting to get a webcam, I bought one just now since it wasn't that expensive. Then we went down to Giant to buy some household stuff. Outside Giant, there were kid's animal rides. The ride is in the shape of an animal. Jeremy saw it a few times before but he never ask for a ride. Tonight, he immediately ask when he saw the rides. I forked out RM3 for a 5 minutes ride. It was worth it though when I saw how delighted he was. After five minutes was over, he wanted to ride more. But I managed to talk him out of it.
Jeremy tried on the gloves Nana send him and he loved them. He even wore them to sleep just now. But I guess after a while he felt too warm, so he asked me to take them off. I asked him to try the pants on, but he said 'no pants'.

Call daddy
Jeremy has been looking for his father the last two days and all I could say to him was daddy is not at home. Several times he said 'call daddy'. I told him that mommy cannot call daddy. Jason went to Singapore and hasn't called to look for Jeremy or ask how Jeremy is doing since he left on Wednesday.

Deepavali dinner
We had a nice dinner tonight with Kung Kung and Dennis. I didn't cook anything difficult or special. I just threw a bunch of ingredients into the slow cooker and let it cook. No sweat. I made coleslaw and Tracy made a vegetarian dish. One of the ingredients in the vegetarian dish was tang hoon. When Jeremy saw the dish, he said 'mee mee'. So, I had to pick the tanghoon from the rest of the stuff for him. The dinner was at 7pm. But by 6.45pm, Jeremy said 'obot eat diyer' -- robot wants to eat dinner. So, I let him eat dinner early. By the time Kung Kung and Dennis came, he was done eating.
It has been quite a long day today. Aunt Tracy and I have been busy cleaning up the house and rearranging things. We were in the mood. Fortunately Jeremy let us do our work without much fuss from him. He was either playing with his scooter outside or watching something on TV while munching on his biscuits or raisins.

Bedtime excuses & time-out
He's been going to sleep at around 9:30 PM the last couple of nights. He's got lots of excuses. He wants to play with his car. He wants to play with his robot. I just let him because eventually he'll go to sleep.
He's very manja with me. That's why he's still crying when I leave him at the play school. At least he doesn't cry the whole day. There are five kids at the play school. Adel told me Jeremy gets along with all the kids except for one. He doesn't get along ith Brian who is almost 1 year old. No idea why. The other day Adel punished Jeremy by giving him a time-out (she put him in a room alone for a while) because Jeremy pushed Brian. Brian fell on a little girl, giving the girl a bruise. Brian likes Jeremy but the feeling isn't mutual. Hehehe. Funny boy.

Everything was wrong
Jeremy was OK at home this morning. His cheerful self. A bit quiet on the way to school. At school, when I asked him to go inside he cried. But he still went to sit next to the sofa crying and sniffling. Poor boy. And yesterday, Adel said everything seem to be wrong with him. He cried when she asked him to eat. He cried when she asked him to play. He cried when she asked him to sleep. I guess it was also a Black Monday for Jeremy.

No crying at play school
Jeremy pooped in his diaper this morning. My fault though. I should have taken off his diaper the moment he woke up but I didn't. I'll remember to do that tomorrow morning.
When I picked him up yesterday evening, he was cheerful. He took his bag from the table and carried it out. He was happy to see me but not to the point of crying like before. And this morning he was much better. He was still manja a bit but considerably better compared to yesterday. When we got to the school, he didn't cry either. He tried to cling to me but after a gentle urging he went inside and sat at the sofa. I'm so proud of him but part of me is a little sad that he has 'moved on'. Gila punya mother... hehehe...

OO in the potty
Yeah!!! Jeremy finally OO in his potty. Yesterday evening after coming back from school, Jeremy said 'OO'. So I asked him to sit on his potty. After a few minutes he said 'no OO'. So, he continued playing. Not long after, he said 'OO' again. I asked him to sit on his potty again. Same like before, he said 'no OO'. Much later, after dinner, he was outside playing with his father. Then he rushed in with his father and said 'OO'. His father took off his pants and asked him to sit on the potty. And this time, there was result! We were so happy. His reward was several goats milk tablets.
This evening, he said 'OO'. I asked him to take off his pants and sit on his potty. He did and with result as well. I gues he finally realises that it's safe to poop in the potty and it's easy. I guess I can say he's potty trained now. I'm sure he'd have some 'accidents' when he's in his diapers in the future but that's OK. At least he can OO in the potty now.
After dinner this evening, we went to Servay Likas primary for window shopping. Of course ended up buying some stuff. At the exit, Jeremy wanted mango juice but we didn't let him one because he was coughing and the juice is cold. Tracy bought a cup of corn, so he stopped asking for the juice. But... on the way home, he threw a tantrum. Kept on saying 'juice, juice, juice'. Didn't even want to come out of the car. Fortunately, I have a bottle of concentrated orange juice, so I made him a cup. After drinking that cup of juice, he was still asking for the 'mango juice'. Ini budak ni ah. Toys he doesn't care if he doesn't get. But if it's juice, lain cerita.
Jeremy is much better now at play school. When I picked him up yesterday, he was cheerful. Today is the first time since he goes to play school that he didn't cry when we got to the school. He didn't even have a sad face when I asked him to go into the house. He went to sit near the sofa straight away and when I sent him a flying kiss, he did the same. However at home, he still cried but much lesser than before. Wow, it takes him a month to get used to going to school. Still much better than some kids I guess. Although he doesn't cry anymore at school, I think it will take longer time for him to stop being manja in the morning.

He's able, he's tiny
We were at my computer last night when I started singing the song "He's able". The song goes like this:
He's able, He's able
I know He's able
I know my Lord is able
To carry me through.
When I stopped singing, Jeremy asked me to sing again. And he started singing as well. Later on he said 'sing is tiey'. He wanted us to sing 'he's tiny'. Hahaha. Aunt Tracy and I had to laugh. When we were singing "He's able" he though we were singing about Abel, our dog. So, he wanted to sing about Tiny, our other dog. It was so funny.
He cried a little this morning at home. And kept on wanting me to carry him. On the way to school he was a bit quiet. Just like yesterday, at the play school, I encouraged him to go to the front door himself. At the door he still wanted to cling to me but I urged him to go inside and sit next to Aunt Adel, next to the sofa. He did, while he was sniffing a bit. He's finally accepting that he has to spend the day at the play school while Mommy has to go to work.

Labuan trip
We had so much fun in Labuan. It was the Lotong Church trip. Jeremy and I just tagged along with them. We only got home at around 8:30 PM last night.
On Friday, we left home for Menumbok at 5 AM. He was still sleeping and in his pyjamas when I took him. We took the 10:30 AM ferry to Labuan. Upon reaching Labuan at around 12:30 PM, we checked into Beta Service Apartments. Since Jeremy already took a short nap onboard the ferry, we went shopping at the Financial Park. We passed by the amusement centre. We had to stop there because Jeremy wanted to play with the rides -- cars, buses, etc. I didn't have to pay a single cent though because he only wanted to go into them. Hehehe. After spending almost 30 minutes there, I had to carry him out. He never wanted to leave. In the evening, he went to bed early. He was already asleep by 7:30 PM. It had been a tiring and long day for him.
On Saturday, we went to church in the morning. He didn't stay long in church. He wanted to roam around, so I just followed him. In between his exploration, I managed to get him to sit down in church for a few minutes. After potluck in church, we went back to the apartment for his nap. So did Karen and her kids. The rest of the group went to the Bird Park, Memorial Park, Marine Museum and Botanical Garden. We joined them in the evening at the Botanical Garden. At the Garden, Jeremy had fun at the playground as well as the tree house. He wanted to climb up the tree house, so I didn't have any choice but to follow him up. Fortunately, he's very skilled at climbing down already. At night, we were invited to attend a function held by Jabatan Perpaduan Labuan at one of the kampungs. Jeremy didn't get bored there because he was busy playing with LL. Since the function ended late, Jeremy only went to bed at 10:30 PM.
On Sunday, there was a carnival held at the Marine Museum, so Jeremy and I had our chance to visit the museum. He enjoyed the live fish and sea creatures but not the exhibition part, probably because not much live fishes. He also enjoyed a short shopping before we had to board the ferry back to Menumbok. I bought him a cup of coconut juice and he enjoyed that very much.
Before we boarded the ferry, he said 'jeyi ide gig ship ferry' and couldn't wait to go on the ferry. When I asked him if he wants to go home, he said 'no go home'. We reached Menumbok at 4 PM and KK at 6:30 PM. We had dinner before going home. When we got home, Jeremy made a bee line to his scooter. His father was waiting at the door but he didn't really acknowledge his father. He missed his scooter more than his father. Maybe kids are like that.
Jeremy cried at home this morning because he knew he has to go to school. He was very quiet in the car on the way to school. He even refused to look at me. So young already pandai merajuk ah? In the end, after talking to him and singing to the kids song, he responded to me a bit. At the school, he didn't cry when I stopped the car or when I took him out of the car. He only started crying when I went to the front door and put him down on the floor. After telling him that I will come get him in the evening, I asked him to go sit on the sofa. He went to the sofa while crying. But not as bad this time. I hope he's finally accepting the arrangement and will feel happier going to school soon.

Our little talk
Jeremy was not in the good mood this morning because he knew he has to spend the day at the play school. He wanted to carry him most of the time. After shower, we sat in our bed and we had our little talk again. I told him that while Mommy goes to work Jeremy has to go to school. He started crying. We cuddled until he stopped crying.
He was a little cheerful on the way to play school. But once I got him out of the car, he started crying again. He didn't want to go inside. He was clinging to me. Aunt Adel told me that he would stop crying once he couldn't see my car anymore. That's a relief. He also likes to play with Aizat (the 16-month-old boy) and run around the house. He seems to be having fun.
Yesterday evening when I picked him up, he was already standing at the front door almost crying. But he managed to control himself.
He's been sleeping well the last few nights. I'm not sure if it's because of the flu and cold medicine he's been taking. Or if it's because he's been trained to sleep himself at the play school and that makes him sleep more comfortable somehow. Whatever it is, I'm grateful!
Aunt Tracy was supposed to help Jeremy to bed last night. But apparently Jeremy dragged his father up with him. So his father had no choice but to help him to bed. I was told by his father that Jeremy fell asleep quite early. By 9 PM he was already asleep. He must have been tired. The night before he only fell asleep at 10 PM. His father was also helping him to bed that night.

Fourth week of play school
I just didn't have the energy and desire to update the blog for the last couple of weeks. Here's a summary.
Jeremy and I went back to my hometown for the Hari Raya holiday on 12th October. We were there until 15th October. As usual he talked to the birds, bullied the cats, went round and round the house, chased after chickens, etc. I was happy to see him having fun. On Sunday, we brought him to the saloon for a haircut after his afternoon nap. I actually dreaded this because this would be his first time having his hair cut at the saloon. But everything went well. He sat there as quiet as a two-and-a-half year old could sit. Hahaha. Toward the end he kept on asking me to carry him and I kept on telling him to wait a little longer.
On Monday the 15th, we drove back to KK. He napped for like half-an-hour in the car. Fortunately, he took another nap once we were home. In the evening we went to MV Doulos. He had fun during the queuing up. I took several photos of him. He didn't really get to look around inside because it was too packed. In the evening, we went to Atlantis Restaurant for dinner to celebrate Nenek's birthday. He had fun running around chasing LL.
As for play school, same old same old. After four weeks of play school he still cries when I leave him at the play school and when I pick him up in the evening. And it's still heartbreaking seeing him cry. In the morning, he would sit or lie down at the front door and cry.
Yesterday, I picked him up in the afternoon and had Aunt Tracy took care of him at home. I asked Aunt Tracy to give him an early dinner so we could go to MV Doulos again as soon as I got home. He was so messy when I picked him up. He had just finished his lunch and the gravy dried up all over his face. I should have taken a picture of him. I only cleaned him up when we got home. Hahaha.
Visit to MV Doulos this time around was fun for him. He was able to roam around with his father. After the visit, Jeremy followed his father home while I sent Aunt Haha back to her hostel.
Last week when I was doing day-end on Wednesday night, his father helped him to bed as Aunt Tracy was on a college break. He slept early because he must have been tired at play school.
Last night, his father helped him to bed again. When I got home at 9:45 PM, he wasn't asleep yet. So, I helped him to bed. He finally fell asleep at around 10 PM.
He's been quiet all in the car when I send him to play school and on the way home. This morning was the same. When I told him that Mommy feels the same as Jeremy, he started to cry. But after our pep talk, he started talking and singing a bit.

Ninth day of play school
I brought Jeremy to see Dr Terry yesterday evening. Before seeing her, I got a sample of Jeremy's urine. So much easier to get his urine sample now. Unlike a year ago.
He felt warm to my touch but when Dr Terry took his temperature using the ear thermometer, his temperature was just between 36.0C and 36.5C. Weird. Maybe there's something wrong with me or Jason. So, Dr Terry just asked us to observe.
As before, he didn't want to go out of the consultation room. He wanted to continue playing with the toys in there. Dr Terry allowed him to bring the toy out. He wanted to bring all the toys out but I managed to convinced him to bring only the dog. And he didn't want to leave the clinic. He cried and cried but I told him that we'll come again another time.
And in the car, he didn't want to sit in his car seat. He wanted to sit on my lap. So, I let him sit on my lap for a while but I didn't drive off. I waited until he sat in his seat before driving off. So, we were sitting in the car park for a good 5 minutes.
Since he doesn't actually have a fever, I stopped giving him paracetamol. He was quite tired in the evening though. So, I brought him up to the bedroom very early. By 8:50 PM he was already asleep. And I went to sleep with him. I didn't go down anymore as I've already prepared Jeremy's stuff to bring to the play school before we came up.
He slept pretty well and woke up very early. By 5:30 AM he was already awake. When he heard the garbage truck outside collecting trash, he said 'see gig kuck'. So, I brought him to the window to look at the truck. When the truck left, he said 'kuck go there, bye bye kuck'. And he was as normal as he could be. But once I brought him down, he became manja again. He didn't want me to put him down. And he kept on saying 'go nenek house'. When I had to go up to get ready for work, Aunt Tracy took him from my arms and he was crying.
All the way to the play school, he said 'see auntie ha ha' and 'go nenek house'. He cried much earlier today. Way, way before we turned into the junction to the play school and he also said 'go home, go home'. I told him that Mommy will pick him up in the evening to go home. Even though he was still crying, he still went into the house and sat on the sofa where he continued crying softly. Poor boy. I hope he would get used to this very soon.

Eighth day of play school
As usual, he cried when I picked him up yesterday evening. He wanted to me to come in and sit with him on the sofa. He didn't feel warm to the touch either.
Like yesterday, he kept on saying 'go nenek house' and 'go kai kai' all the way to the play school. And he cried when I stopped the car in the porch. I asked Aunt Adel if it takes him long to stop crying, she said no. Once I leave, he'll stop crying. In fact, he wasn't crying as badly when I left him. He didn't go to the front door to see me leave though. He just sat the sofa crying softly.
I called Aunt Adel several times to find out how Jeremy was and I was told that Jeremy didn't have any fever. I've made an appointment for Jeremy to see Dr Terry later at 5 PM. It's a bit worrying when he has a fever without any symptoms.

Seventh day of play school
He cried again when I picked him up from play school yesterday. This time he didn't want to get into the car. He invited me in to sit with him on the sofa. I sat for a while and then I told him that we were going home to see Daddy. He said 'no go home see daddy'. Fortunately, I managed to get him to go home after a while.
He woke up this morning asking to go downstairs. I brought him downstairs but he didn't want me put him down. He wanted to be carried. So, I carried him everywhere. I knew then he wasn't feeling very well. He's got a fever of 38C so I gave him a dose of paracetamol before we left home.
Just like yesterday, he kept on saying 'go church' when we put him in his car seat. I told him again that we will be going to church this coming weekend. After a while he kept on saying 'go kai kai'. I explained to him that mommy is going to work and Jeremy is going to school. He wasn't happy with that explanation and continued on saying 'go kai kai'. I said to him that maybe we'll go kai kai tomorrow night.
Once I stopped the car at the play school, he started crying and didn't want to let me go. He asked me to go in with him and sit on the sofa. Which I did before handling him over to Aunt Adel. Once I went out the front door, he ran to the front door and cried there while jumping around. Though it was heartbreaking, I'm stronger now. I didn't cry when I saw him crying.
I called at around 11 AM to find out how Jeremy was. I was told that he didn't have fever. I called again at 3 PM. Aunt Adel told me that Jeremy just woke up from his nap and was drinking his milk. And no fever. So, that's good news.

Sixth day of play school
He was so happy when he saw me picking him up on Friday afternoon. I came with Nenek, Uncle Andy, Aunt Tracy and LL to pick him up as we were going straight home to my hometown. When he saw me, he said 'mommy' and started crying. That's what he usually does when I come to pick him up in the evening.
He had fun in kampung. He talked to the birds. He chased after cats and dogs. At church, he chased after that kampung chickens that came into the church compound. He called the chickens 'cock-a-doodle-do'. And on Sunday, he chased chickens at a school compound. Very funny. I was very happy to see him having fun though.
He cried at home when we were busy putting the necessary bags in the car this morning. But he still let me put him in his car seat. At home he said 'go church'. I told him that we will go to church this weekend. And all the way to the play school he kept on saying 'go kai kai, go kai kai'. I told him that we were going for a drive and that Mommy is going to work and Jeremy is going to school. He kept on saying 'go kai kai' and on the verge of crying. I said again 'we went kai kai last night, didn't we'? At the main Luyang road turning to the play school area, he almost cried. He realised where he was going. Once I took him out of the car, he started crying. But he still went into the house and said 'sit there' pointing to the sofa in front of the TV. It was heartbreaking.

Fifth day of play school
When we arrived at the play school this morning, he didn't cry. He also didn't cry when I took him out from the car. He started crying when I put him down on the floor. He said 'sit there' pointing to the sofa in front of the TV. He went to the sofa by himself and sit on it while at the same time still crying. He gave me a flying kiss when I fly kissed him.
I guess he has finally accepted that he has to spend the day at the play school and that at the end of the day I always come back to get him. I guess that would be the same with me accepting the reality of my life. Lots of crying in the beginning but slowly accepting it.

Fourth day of play school
Jeremy cried the moment he saw me arriving to pick him up from play school yesterday. And while I was strapping him into his car seat, he said 'go home see daddy'. It broke my heart. He adores his Daddy and enjoys playing with his Daddy very much. I realised that it would be very selfish of me to decide on something without thinking of what it would do to Jeremy. Jeremy needs his Daddy to be around. Jason has been a very wonderful father, I couldn't have asked for more. But in my hurt and pain, I've only been thinking of me.
Today was not as bad for both Jeremy and I. He was OK on the way to the play school. However, when he realised we've arrived at the play school, he cried and said 'go home'. I told him repeatedly that Mommy will come get him in the evening. He didn't cry as bad as the last couple of days though. He went into Aunt Adel's arm willingly but at the same time tried to reach out to me.
He was still crying when I left the play school. It still broke my heart but not as bad anymore. I hope by the end of next week he'll get used to this arrangement.

Third day of play school
When Jeremy saw me arriving to pick him up at the end of the day yesterday, he started crying. His voice has slightly changed as well. Must have cried for quite a bit in the morning. Aunt Adel said he did eventually stop crying but I didn't ask how long he cried. He cried again when brought upstairs for his nap.
When I brought him to the car, he didn't want to let me go. He didn't want me to put him into his car seat. But I explained to him that we were going home already and that Mommy had to drive and Jeremy had to sit in the car seat. He complied. When he saw a his milk in his bottle, he asked for it and he finished drinking his 6oz of milk.
Aunt Adel said while waiting to be picked up, she had to leave the TV on or he would start crying. I guess he's used to watching TV in the evening. She also told me that she hasn't started teaching Jeremy yet as Jeremy is still in the process of getting use to the place.
Once we got home, he would straight away play with his Daddy's golf cart or his shake car. He must have missed those at the play school.
He didn't cry today when we put him in his car seat. He talked and sang all the way. Once we parked in the porch of the play school and he saw Aizat (the little boy at the nursery) he started crying and said 'go home, go home'. He was still crying when I left him with the helper. Once again my heart broke into pieces.

Second day of play school
Jason and I both went to see him at the play school at the end of his first day at the play school. Jason was there first. He said Jeremy was sitting on the sofa holding two toy cars. Jason was carrying him when I arrived. When he saw me, he reached out for me.
I asked Aunt Adel if he cried a lot. She said no. He only cried when he was brought upstairs for his nap. He would also tell if he wanted to wee wee but he had one accident. He didn't pooped though. So, I put on his diaper at home last night so that he would poop, and he did.
Jeremy didn't even want to get into the car this morning. I felt like my heart was being squeezed so tightly seeing him screaming and crying there wanting to go back into the house. So, Jason drove us to the play school. I told Jeremy that he would stay with Aunt Adel in the morning. If he wants Mommy to come get him in the afternoon, he can ask Aunt Adel to call Mommy. That got him to stop crying.
Once we arrived at the play school, he was willing to be carried into the house in my arms. But once Aunt Adel tried to get him, he started crying and hugging me so tightly. He watched us leaving the school from the front door and he was crying. It broke my heart.

First day of playschool
It's Jeremy's first day at the play school today. I've been telling him since yesterday that he'd be spending the day with Aunt Adel (the school owner) and that I will pick him up at the end of the day. I told him again this morning. So, he told his Daddy that he is going to Aunt Adel's house.
We left the house early, at 7:20 AM, as I had to go to Hospital Likas for an appointment with Dr Soo regarding Camp Quality. Jason followed us, in a different car, as he wanted to know where the play school is.
When we got to the play school, Jeremy said 'Auntie Adel's house'. Inside, he headed straight to the toys and stayed there until we left. I gave him a hug and several kisses. He just watched us going out of the house. Near the gate, I looked back and said bye to him. He gave me a flying kiss. I felt like crying but I had to be strong.
Jason said my meeting was bad timing. I should have spent more time with Jeremy at the play school before leaving. That's true. Since I couldn't, he could have stayed longer instead of just rushing off and missing Jeremy's flying kiss.
I'm very tempted to give the play school a call to find out how Jeremy is doing. I'll do it much later, maybe during lunch.
---
I called the play school at 11:30 AM. I was told that Jeremy has been crying on and off. He was crying when I called. He was brought upstairs for his nap. So early? I'll have to ask her about this later. Anyway, he was crying and wanting to go downstairs. He's just not ready for his nap yet I think. Poor boy. I'll definitely have to ask about his activity when I pick him up later.

Swiiiiimin' & making fun of Mommy
We went swimming yesterday morning. I helped Jeremy swim like a dolphin... swim, swim, swim and jump into the air and back into the water like a dolphin. He loved it. When Jason went into the outdoor jacuzzi, Jeremy wanted to go in too. Since only adults are allowed in the jacuzzi, I only let Jeremy sit on the edge with both his feet in the warm bubbling water. He also didn't want me to help him in the kid's pool but the water is too deep for him. I had to explain to him a few times before he accepted my help. I even let him try to touch the pool floor to let him see that it was too deep. When he was at the edge of the pool getting ready to jump in, I would say 'swiiiimin' and he would also say the same. It's an expression from one of the characters in his Rubbadubbers DVD.
In the ladies changing room, I showed Jeremy the baby toilet -- a toilet especially for kid, so cute. Jeremy said 'baby toiyet'. He doesn't like to shower with cold water, but no choice since the hot water was already used up. So, when I gave him his shower, he cried while saying 'no no no' so loud Jason could hear him from outside. Hahaha.
He was so tired from the swim as well as lack of sleep, he was so grumpy in the afternoon. I let him play with his train set while I cooked. But every few minutes, he would cry and start calling me to play with him. He also wanted me to fix the container on Thomas' back. I barely managed to prepare lunch.
During lunch, he only ate a few spoonfuls then asked for nenen. While nursing on my lap, he almost doze off. Thinking that he wanted to nap already, I brushed his teeth. He was upset that I interrupted him, he became active again. Then we all napped together at around 2 PM. He napped for about 2½ hours.
He was still a bit grumpy in the evening, that I decided to bring him to bed early. An hour earlier and no games before bedtime. I turned off the light as soon as we entered the bedroom. With the night light, I read to him some stories and then sang to him while he nursed. After that we just lied down in bed and he eventually fell asleep an hour after, at around 9:05 PM. That's considered early, since he has been going to sleep at or after 10 PM the last few weeks.
He only woke up at 7:30 this morning and he seemed to in a much better mood. Before we went downstairs, he asked me to read him some stories while he nurse in bed.
He likes to make fun of me during bedtime. Helping him to go to sleep, I either give him a back rub or pat his behind, while saying 'sh sh sh sh' or 'oi oi oi oi'. Last night, while patting his bottom, I said 'sh sh sh sh'. He asked me to say 'oi oi oi oi'. I did. Then he asked me to say 'sh sh sh sh'. I did. Then 'oi oi oi oi'. Then 'sh sh sh sh'. He did that a few times and then he laughed.
Several nights before that, he signaled to me to pat his bottom. So I patted his bottom. After a while, he signaled to me that he wanted me to rub his back. I did. Then pat bottom. Then rub back. Pat bottom. Rub back. Alternating between the two a few rounds. Then he laughed. Cheeky boy.
We had french beans and carrots for dinner last night. Jeremy said 'kakkak' when he saw the carrot and took a few to eat. When we talked to him, we said 'carrot'. After a while, he said 'cayyot'. Hahaha. So cute.

Kai kai to Kompleks Karamunsing
We brought Jeremy out for shopping in the evening to Signature. I wanted to get him some books on shapes and Alphabets (Big Letters). He knows most of his shapes and big letters -- thanks to Reader Rabbit program. So, we were thinking that he's ready to learn to spell in big letters.
We also bought him a big container of bubble solution since he loves blowing bubbles and we ran out at home.
Then we let Jeremy lead us to where he wanted to go. He said 'go there' pointing to some direction. He wanted one of us to carry him, but we told him that if he wanted to go there he has to walk. So, he did.

Taking on a challenge
Last night during bedtime, everytime Jeremy coughed he would say 'ak'. The first two times he said that, I brought him to the bathroom to throw up. In the bathroom, he would say 'no ak'. Back to the bedtroom.
The third time he coughed, he said 'ak' again. I told him that he isn't going to 'ak' and Mommy isn't bringing him to the bathroom. He threw a tantrum. I was afraid that he would really throw up after all the screaming and crying. So, I told him to go to the bathroom himself because Mommy isn't going to bring him. He woke up and came down the bed, went to the bedroom door, opened the door himself and walked to the bathroom. My! He really went to the bathroom himself. Jason and I were both speechless for a while. Unfortunately, he couldn't open the bathroom door himself yet. So, I followed him and opened the door for him. He was ready to step into the bathroom but I carried him in because the floor was wet. He told me 'stand'. He wanted to stand in the bathroom himself but I explained to him that the floor was wet. As usual, no 'ak', so back to the bedroom.
On the way back, I told him that he is going to lie down on the bed and go to sleep. He did lie down and he still resisted going to sleep after that but not as stubborn. After a few minutes, he asked me to stand and carry him. He felt drowsy while I was carrying him so he asked to 'ie down'. When we were both lying down, he said 'nenen ast time'. After he was satisfied, he went to sleep.
Lately, he's been resisting sleep more and more. It started when we tried to get him to sleep with Aunt Tracy. Also since I told him that one of these days Mommy is going somewhere and won't be home for a few days and that he would have to sleep without nenen the whole night. I told him that he has to learn to stop looking for nenen when he wakes up in the middle of the night, too.
The last few evenings, even before bedtime he would asked us to go upstairs to play in the bedroom. The only reason possible for this is that when we're upstairs we are not distracted by the TV and he has our attention all to himself.
We tried getting him to sing the song 'Lonely' again last night but he didn't want to. He was busy

Lonely I'm Mr Lonely
I have nobody
For my own.
Okay, that's the first few words of the Lonely song by Akon. Jeremy loves that song. I have it as my ringtone on my cellphone. Last night he kept on playing the song and he sang along to it. This is his version.
Oney... *&^#&%*& oney...
#(*&^*&^^ ody...
&^$*&^) on...
Hahaha. If we get the chance, we'll take his video singing the song. It's a treasure.
Usually, when we come back from work. Jeremy would be looking out the window waiting for us to come in. Yesterday, he wasn't there. When I went into the house, I saw Aunt Tracy in the kitchen but Jeremy was nowhere. Aunt Tracy was smiling and looking at the direction of the long sofa. I thought he was hiding between the sofa and the book shelf. But he wasn't there. I finally located him under the sofa. He just looked at me smiling. He only came out from under that when Jason found him. Aunt Tracy said that Jeremy said 'Mommy ide" -- Mommy hide -- when he heard us arriving.
Later on in the computer room, he went under my computer table. I asked him what he was doing, he said 'iding' -- hiding. Macam macam this budak.
During bedtime, Jeremy asked me to read his 'Barney's Color Train' book. I read it to him so many times that he can even remember the ending words of some of the rhymes.
This morning, I showed Aunt Tracy how to turn on my computer and what password to key-in, in case Jeremy wanted to play on it. Jeremy was with us when I showed Aunt Tracy. Once I logged in, Jeremy took control of my mouse and proceeded to go to the START menu and located the READER RABBIT shortcut and clicked on it. I was speechless at first. I only taught him twice to do that and he remembered. Jason said he's been doing that a few times already. Only I didn't see.

Open eyes, open eyes
Hahaha. Nowadays when Jeremy sleep talks, he would say things from events during the day. For example, before bedtime last night he was playing with 'toto ead' -- Potato Head. He would say 'open eyes' if he can't peel off the eyes himself. And last night, he cried in the middle of the night saying 'open eyes open eyes'. I had to laugh. He must have been dreaming about playing with Potato Head. So funny. Hahaha. He also said some other things several times during the night but I can't remember what they were.
He loves Mr. Potato Head. He would identify each of the parts -- ands (hands), at (hat), ears, eyes, ose (nose), teeth, ongue (tongue) and shoes. Sometimes he would place them in the correct position. Sometimes not and Mr. Potato Head would look like a monster with a tongue for its ears, hands for its nose and eyes for its mouth.
This afternoon, Jason was watching something on AXN when Jeremy started channel surfing. He would just press any buttons on the Astro's remote control. If he didn't fancy what was on TV, he would press another button and he stumbled upon Mr. Bean (the cartoon) on Astro Ria (channel 4) and he got stuck there. We told him that it's Mr Bean and he said 'ister ean'.
In the evening, we went to Servay, Likas. We went to the children section to look for some supplies for Jeremy. I got him a fluoride-free toothpaste and a sipper teats. I gave both to him and told him that we were going to the counter to pay for the items. He said 'pay'. Once we got to the counter though, he didn't want to let the cashier scan the sipper teats. We had to pry it from his hands but returned it immediately to him once it was scanned.
At the grocery department, he saw a small bottle of mineral water. I bought him similar bottle once which has since been thrown away. He wanted to take a bottle. I let him look take one to look at. He didn't want to let go of the bottle at first but eventually did when he saw another bottle in different color. The moment he put down the first bottle, I took him away from there. I told him that he didn't need the bottle. Of course he cried. Jason, who was following us from the back, said Jeremy was just pretending to cry. He cried. He stopped and smiled at Jason. And then he cried again. Both times for only a very, very short time. He was just testing his limit.

No more runny nose
I guess the runny nose was only yesterday. There's no more runny nose today. Or maybe it was just an allergic reaction to something.
In Sabbath School today, Jeremy behaved much better. He even wanted to sit in the little chair for a longer period of time, sitting next to his buddy Lamuel. And at the end of the class, he went around to hug other people.
During the main service, he stayed in the church most of the time. Playing with his cars and with the people around him. Only at the end of the service he asked to go to 'mama oon' -- Mother's Room.
Dennis came in the evening to send over the stuff Nana sent for Jeremy. Jeremy loves Mr. Potato Head and Thomas. When he saw Thomas though, he also asked for 'ercy ercy'. He was looking for Percy. He has Thomas and Percy for his train set, so he's used to having Thomas and Percy together. So, when he got the new Thomas, he also expected Percy. We explained to him that there is no Percy but he can still play with the old Percy. That explanation seemed to satisfy him.

Delaying going to bed
Jeremy was trying to delay going up to the bedroom just now. His VCD was playing when I wanted to bring him up. He started singing and following the actions on the VCD. So, I let him sing that one song. After that song completed, he wanted to sing the next song and the next after that. One of the songs was 'Only a Boy Named David'. The song went 'and round and round and round and round...'. Jeremy ran round and round the living room while singing 'and ound and ound and ound'. Will put his video up soon.
Even that the 'David' song, he still resisted going up but I just scooped him and brought him up. He protested for a short while only.

Potty business & runny nose
Last Sunday, when Jeremy was taking his shower with LL, he saw LL weeing into the toilet bowl. He wanted to do the same but he was shorter and couldn't possible wee into the bowl while standing on the floor. So, I lifted him to stand on the seat. He didn't wee though.
And the last one week, whenever we bring him to the washroom to wee, we would get him to wee into the hole on the floor. He loves doing that. He would say 'wee ole'. When he's done, he would say 'wash ole' and 'wash and' -- wash hand. He's more ready to go to the washroom to wee now since we have this challenge.
The last few days, he's been asking to stand on the toilet seat to wee into the bowl. He says 'wee toilet'. When Aunt Tracy brings him in, she brings the plastic tool closer to the bowl so Jeremy can stand on it. He likes that too.
He still can't o.o. into the potty though. He would tell Aunt Tracy 'sit otty o.o.' but he has never successfully done it yet. He would call Aunt Tracy and say 'no o.o.' with his sad face. I'm sure he'll be able to o.o. in the potty very soon when he feels more comfortable with it. Strangely enough, he never asks to sit in the potty when Jason and I are around. Maybe he's too busy playing with us.
Aunt Tracy messaged me this morning saying that Jeremy has runny nose. We've been expecting that since both LL and AdAd had cold when they were here over the weekend, and he'd been sneezing frequently yesterday. He's also been picking his nose quite frequently the last few days. Maybe his nose was itchy. When I asked him why he was picking his nose, he said 'irty ose' -- dirty nose.
I just hope that his cold is as mild or milder than his recent cold. He only fully recovered from his cold mid of last week. Now getting another one. Must be of a different strain of cold virus.

Aht Too Tee
Aht too tee sor sive sis esen eit nine ten!
That's how Jeremy counts. He's getting good at it. When we go up or down the stairs he would count. However, if we don't count with him he would sometimes make mistakes. Sometimes he would say 'aht too tee too tee...' or he would skip some numbers in between. Sometimes he would say 'ahn' instead of 'aht' -- no idea how he chooses which one to say.
If he doesn't count the stairs when going down, he would sing the song I made-up song for him when he was still a baby -- 'down down the stairs'.
Down, down the stairs we go,
Down to see Aunty Tracy.
Down, down the stairs we go,
Down to see Abel and Tiny.
Or to see anyone or anything that's downstairs at that time. Of course when he sings, we wouldn't be able to hear the whole song clearly. Most of the times, we could only hear the first and last few words. The words in between are mumbled. But good enough for me.

Sleeping with Aunt Tracy (II)
Jeremy slept with Aunt Tracy for a second night last night. But only lasted until 11:50 PM. Tracy said he cried, so she lifted him from bed and carried him with his head on her shoulder. But he kept on going down looking for nenen. When Tracy said no nenen, he cried looking for me. I heard him cry this time. He immediately came to me when he saw me.
I really cannot see how he would be ready to sleep with Aunt Tracy the whole night in 6 weeks. I hope I would be able to cancel my attendance to the training.

Sleeping with Aunt Tracy (I)
I have to go to KL for a 2-day training at the end of August. I've never separated from Jeremy before and he still nursed at night. So I'm quite worried about being away from him for 2 nights. I've discussed it with both Jason and Tracy. We've decided that Jeremy would sleep with Tracy. I've also asked Nenek to accompany Tracy while I'm away. At least someone would be around to help Tracy in case she doesn't get little, if any, sleep at all during the night.
Last night, I worked night. As usual Jeremy would sleep in Tracy's room first. We've also decided to try letting Jeremy sleep with Tracy as long as possible last night. He lasted until a little after 12 AM. Tracy said that was his second time waking up. The first time, she managed to get him to go back to sleep. The second time, he screamed and screamed. Jason said he kept on saying 'go there go there'.
Though at first I couldn't go to sleep not having Jeremy next to me, once I fell asleep I was like a dead log. I didn't even hear Jeremy crying. Jason had to wake me up. Jeremy immediately reached for me when he saw me. When I brought him to our room, Tracy said he smiled at her.
Seeing what happened, Jason advised me to change my plan about attending the course. I'll have to speak to the training executive.

A little strategist
Something fascinating happened when I took my shower last night after the concert. Everybody was back from the concert and I left Jeremy with them. This is exactly what Jason told me. He was there to keep an eye on Jeremy.
"Yesterday you missed it. While you were bathing or somewhere. After Jeremy finished his milk or something, he saw LL's toy. I was noticing his reaction. He is quite smart juga now. Very steady. He saw it and he slowly sat up. And I think he was trying to figure out the best way to take a look at the toy. He didn't just come down and run towards LL. He looked at the toy. Smiled a bit. And macam pikir2 a bit... like strategising. Then slowly he came down and sat down slowly next to LL. Then he paused. Then after a few seconds, he slowly touched the toy. Not grabbing it from LL. And then after a while... miracle man... LL actually kasi pinjam the toy to Jeremy. Then Jeremy also pandai. Quickly kasi balik. Then he could take a second time again. Macam pandai sudah he strategise. He was doing it slowly. Hehehe. Coz I think hew knows if he just take it, he won't get it. If what I interpret is true, this guy is damn smart for his age. But I dunno lah. Maybe just a fluke. I was studying how he actually was trying to do it. He really did it very deliberately, with thought and planning. Not those usual come down and take type."
I was actually shocked too to see Jeremy being able to play with LL's new toy. Maybe Jeremy is learning to understand LL more.
This is what Tracy told me. She said sometimes when she's doing work and Jeremy is playing by himself, Jeremy would pop by and say 'hello' to her and then leave. Several times. Sometimes on his scooter. After a few times, he would ask Tracy to play with him. Hehehe. Maybe the first few hellos was to see Tracy's reaction or to get Tracy in the mood to play with him before he asks. Hehehe.
This morning I let Jeremy nursed before I went to work. Then he hugged me and didn't want to let go while saying "Mommy shlow". He wanted to follow me to work. It touched my heart. If I could, I would bring him with me but that's not possible. I explained to him that next time when he goes to school, he can follow Mommy to work. That did that trick.

1000 Voices Mega Concert for Peace
Last night, Jeremy was nursing but I really needed to use the toilet. So, I unlatched Jeremy and told him that "Mommy needs to wee wee". Jeremy said "Mommy shlow" -- he wanted to follow me. So, I carried him with me to the bathroom.
Today was a busy day for all of us. There were eight extra people with us at home making the relatively big house seems very small. But It was great fun having all of them. Giving chance to Jeremy to get to know his relatives and cousins.
After breakfast, I gave Jeremy and LL showers at the same time. Jeremy had fun making LL wet by pointing the shower to him. Then before I could get both of them dried with towel, they both ran into our bedroom to jump on the bed.
At around 10am, we left for the rehearsal at Stadium Likas. I left Jeremy with Jason at home. I prepared his snacks and a bottle of milk, just in case. Rushed home after the rehearsal at around 11:30am since I have to feed Jeremy and then get him to take his nap early since we had to be back at the Stadium by 5pm.
When I got home, Jeremy greeted me with 'Mommy sing'. Jason said Jeremy heard the singing and told Jeremy that Mommy was singing there. So, I told Jeremy that "Jeremy will sing with Mommy tonight". Jason said everything went smoothly when he was taking care of Jeremy. He helped Jason bathe the dogs even if only for a while -- he didn't like the gunk on his palms. Hahaha, what's new? He drank his milk. Probably played with AdAd for a while. AdAd was left at home with Aloy while Karen went shopping with LL and Aunt Tracy's sister.
Jeremy took about 2½ hours nap. I gave him a bottle of milk and dinner. Then we got ready for the concert. We left at around 5:45pm. We didn't rush because Nenek said they were just sitting around watching the rehearsal by the 1000 Voices Choir.
We parked near ex-Princess Anne and walked to the Stadium. I had to carry Jeremy. Man, he was heavy. Heavier than a sack of rice. Hehe.
When we were seated, Jeremy assessed the surrounding. He saw an empty seat, he pointed to the seat, looked at me and said 'sit'. I let him go to the empty seat and sit there. Lasted only less than a minute then he came back to me and said 'Mommy sand'. He wanted me to stand so he could sit in my seat. I didn't stand because if I did, other's view would be blocked. I just moved aside a bit and let him sit. And that lasted less than a minute too.
Throughout the evening, he kept on pointed at different places and said 'go there'. I kept on telling him 'no' or 'later, if we have time'. Then would get him to stay for a while longer. When he got restless again, then I would bring him to the back and let him walk around while I held his hands. He would look through the grill to the stalls below and say 'go there'. I would tell him the same thing that we would go there if we have time. We eventually did go down when I had to visit the washroom. So, the next time he asked to 'go there', I told him that we've already been there.
He finished his snacks -- a bottle of milk and his cereal. Well, he only managed to eat a third of his cereal because the rest was accidentally spilt -- my fault for trying to take it from him. Once his cereal was finished, he asked for more 'scuit' (biscuit). I gave him boiled chickpeas instead. He ate them in the beginning but after a while started playing with them. He would took a handful and return them back to the container. Since he wasn't eating anymore, we took the container from him.
He made a friend during the concert but we didn't get the name of the little boy -- probably a couple of years older than Jeremy. Jeremy went to sit next to the boy's father -- the seat was empty. And the little boy started playing with Jeremy. They jumped and laughed and had fun. It was getting too much in the end as Jeremy started to put his hands on the boy's face. So, I took him back to sit with me.
Toward the end of the concert, Jeremy was getting tired and sleepy. When he nursed, his eyes would close a little. When I thought he would be asleep, he would climbed out of my lap and be active again. During the second last song, we went home and reached home at around 9:50 PM.
At home, Jeremy said 'atch obot'. I let him watch his Robot (the movie) DVD after I brushed his teeth, washed him a bit and put him into his pyjama. Then I went to take a short shower. When I came down, I was surprised to see Jeremy playing with LL's newly bought toy. And LL didn't seem to mind.
He protested a bit when I brought him up to the bedroom. He still wanted to watch Robot but I told him he can watch again tomorrow morning.
While I nursed him, for no apparent he would suddenly burst into crying while babbling a few times. He must have been so tired but still thinking about the events of the day. But he fell asleep quite fast. He's been asleep for a couple of hours now and haven't made a sound.

Nana call, Nana call
In Sabbath School today, Belle, a little girl about the same age, as Jeremy was holding a Pooh book. Jeremy saw the book and said to me 'Pooh'. Then he took the book from Belle. She protested but I couldn't pry the book from Jeremy to return to her. Fortunately, Belle's mother said it was okay as the book didn't belong to her. Once Jeremy was finished with the book, he didn't complained when I returned the book to Belle.
Nana called in the evening at around 4:30pm. I left Jeremy with Aunt Tracy while I rushed down to answer the phone. When I put down the phone, Jeremy cried 'Nana call. Nana call'. He wanted to talk to Nana. So, to console him I called him from my cellphone and we talked for a while.
Aunt Karen, Uncle Aloy and his cousins (LL & AdAd) arrived in the evening and will be staying for two nights. Jeremy and LL got along just fine as long as Jeremy didn't touch LL's toys. Jeremy would just let LL and AdAd play with his toys. He was a bit possessive of his toy train set though. So, I have to be around to prevent any unwanted situation.
Before bedtime LL took out his toys. Jeremy was interested and he want to sit next to LL and took one piece. LL was so upset he started crying. Jeremy also started crying when I gently took the piece from his hand. Poor baby.
Just before Jeremy went to bed, all the three kids were in our bedroom. Having fun jumping on the big bed. Even the small one, AdAd, had fun climbing up and down the bed.

Didn't sleep well
We went shopping after dinner last night. First at Giant, Likas then at Merdeka Supermarket, Likas Square. At both places, he wanted to push the shopping cart without our assistance. He got upset when we tried to steer the cart toward the right direction. Once, Jason told him that Daddy has to help him.
When we got to Merdeka Supermarket, the first thing he said was 'trolley' or something that sounded like it. So, I gave him the smaller cart and put a basket on it. And he pushed it all over the supermarket.
I took a box of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese for Jeremy at the supermarket. He took the box from the cart and carried it around with him. When it was time to pay for our items, Jeremy didn't want to give the box to the cashier. A couple who were paying at the other counter laughed at Jeremy. He eventually gave the box to the cashier when I lifted him to sit on the counter and took it again after it was scanned. Then he remembered the cart and kept on saying 'trolley trolley'. I told him that we'll come again next time and he can push the trolley again.
Outside Likas Square, he wanted to step down the steps himself. And he wanted to sit in front. I let him after strapping him to the seat. He held onto his box of Macaroni & Cheese all the way home.
When I wanted to bring him up to the bedroom, he took his Macaroni & Cheese while saying 'eat eat eat'. Earlier, I told him that I will make him Macaroni & Cheese for dinner on Saturday night. That's probably why he said 'eat eat eat'. Since I told him it wasn't time for dinner, he said 'up' -- he wanted to bring the box up -- so we brought the box up.
He didn't sleep well last night. Neither did I. He seemed to have woken up very frequently crying a little and asking for nenen. And this morning he woke up very early, at 6 AM. He wanted to go down but I said it wasn't time to go down yet. He got upset and threw a tantrum. After about 5 minutes, I got up and told him that we are going down but we have to collect his toys first. I asked him to help me put his toys in his red bag.
Before we went down, I brought him to the guest room. We lied down there a bit and he nenen. Then I showed him two birds perching on the neighbor's TV antenna. He imitated the bird making the 'kuukuur' sound. He found it funny. One by one the birds flew away. When the last bird left, Jeremy said 'no more bird'.

Fa fa fa fa & injured his upper lip again
Jason went to play golf yesterday morning. And usually when he does, I would bring his laptop to my office so he doesn't need to go home to get his laptop. Yesterday though I was in the rush in the morning as I need to fill in petrol into the car first, and I forgot to take his laptop.
So, after his golf session Jason went home to get his laptop. He told me that Jeremy asked him to sit down on the sofa. Once he was seated, Jeremy took his cellphone from Jason's phone pouch and and hid the cellphone behind his back. We guess he didn't want Jason to go out again. Jason had to play a game with him in order to get his cellphone back.
The phone pouch started talking and asking for the phone to come back to it. Jeremy took the bait and put the phone back in. Hahaha. Poor baby got tricked.
After dinner, we brought Jeremy out for a walk around the neighbourhood. On the way home, we were trying to get Jeremy to do some pronunciation. Jason said 'fa fa fa fa'. Jeremy said 'fa fa fa fa' with a bit of a struggle. Jason said 'phone phone phone phone'. Jeremy said 'sone sone sone sone'. When we laughed, he also laughed but louder. Hahaha.
I said 'ba ba ba ba'. He said 'bar bar bar bar'. I said 'ney ney ney ney'. He said 'ney ney ney ney'. I said 'barney barney'. He said 'ahbey ahbey' followed by his loud laugh.
Then I said 'ke ke ke ke'. He said 'ke ke ke ke'. I said 'ri ri ri ri'. He said 'ri ri ri ri'. I said 'carry carry'. He said 'aki aki' also followed by his loud laugh. He knew he wasn't saying the words the way we wanted him to. Very funny.
Jeremy was playing with his Daddy's golf cart yesterday evening. I didn't see what happened but Jason explained that Jeremy was trying to take the cart by lifting the middle part of the cart and one part of the cart hit his lips. I was in the kitchen when I heard him crying. I thought he fell down or something. Jason brought him in with blood in his mouth. We cleaned the bloody area as much as we could because we didn't want it to get it infected. Jeremy was so upset when we forced him to stay still while we clean his upper lip. By the time he had to go to bed, his upper lip was already swollen.

Afternoon nap without disposable diaper
For afternoon nap during the last two weekends, I don't put on disposable diaper on Jeremy anymore. I let him use the cloth training pants. Most of the time, he didn't wee in his pants during his nap. However, toward the end after he was awake a bit, he would wet his pants before I manage to bring him to the bathroom. If he did wet his pants during nap, his nap was not disrupted. He would just continue napping.
During yesterday's afternoon nap, we only switched on the fans since Jeremy still had runny nose. It was comfortable napping in the room even without the air-cond on because the weather was a bit cool. This afternoon, the weather was a bit warm. Normally, we would have already switched on the air-cond but since Jeremy still had runny nose, we used the fan. Jason said a few times he was tempted to switch on the air-cond. Even though it was a bit warm in the room, Jeremy didn't have trouble napping though. He still napped for almost three hours.
He seems to be OK napping in a warm room. When I have to go back to work at night, he sleeps in Tracy's room first. And her room is usually warm but he would be fast asleep when I go in to get him.

Oopps.. runny nose is back
His runny is back after the whole night air-cond last night. The good news is his nose is not blocked. So, back to using the fans only until he is fully recovered.
We went to City Mall this evening. At Popular Book Store, I bought Jeremy a colourful book with many stories in it.
Just like our previous visit, he pooped while in the bookstore. So, I brought him to the washroom to change. It took me so long to get him cleaned up and diapered again. He was fascinated with the water faucets in the WC as well as at the sink.
In Giant, he wanted to push the shopping cart himself. He would say a firm 'NO' whenever he notice us trying to help him steer the cart. I bought him a 1m x 1.5m carpet with pictures of road, river and special buildings and houses on it. At home, he didn't want to stop playing on it -- pushing his cars around. He threw a tantrum when I brought him to the bedroom. He was still screaming in the bedroom that he eventually threw up. We still didn't give him to him. He eventually settle down and went to sleep.

Less runny nose
Jeremy didn't get worse but he still has runny nose. Seems to be a little better than yesterday. Let's hope he's on the way to recovery.

Runny nose
When we came home yesterday, Jeremy's nose was already runny. He didn't sleep very well in the beginning because his nose was blocked. So, Jason made a cup of saline solution to be dropped into Jeremy nose. He was so upset when we gave him the solution.
We decided to turn off the air-cond and use the fans instead. That helped Jeremy a bit along with elevating his head. Though we both didn't sleep very well, it wasn't as bad as previous runny nose incidents.
The funny thing was, when I was carrying Jeremy in my arms and his head on my shoulders, he didn't like it when Jason scrutinised him. He would waved Jason away. Hahaha.
This evening we came home, his runny nose was better. Not as much mucus coming out of his nose. And he also didn't have problem with blocked nose. We made a fresh batch of saline solution, but we didnt' need to use it.
